I know it won't require any kind of special disc, but it may need the Bose amp that is included on the Bose vehicles, but then again I'm still convinced that once they program your VIN to it, it will work fine. The dealers should have no problem with it whatsoever, they probably see a lot of it. But once you plug it in to your Tahoe and power it up, it will read the truck's computer and realize that the VIN programmed to your truck does not match the VIN programmed to the nav, therefore it will lock itself from being used. Right now, the nav isn't installed in anything, so therefore it isn't locked. Steering wheel controls will work fine with the nav.Īs far as getting it programmed, do this after you get it installed. I'd like to know for sure if this Bose nav will work in a non-Bose without anything extra, just out of curiosity.

GM NAVIGATION DISC 25850927 INSTALL
If you can do the install yourself, you'd save some $$ and then all you will need is programming.Įither way, keep us updated. I know the GPS antenna is under the very front dash panel right below your windshield, and it may just pop off like other trim panels. Unplug it and then you can swap radios and bolt it back in. Radio removal in these vehicles is pretty easy, you just pry off the woodgrain/aluminum radio surround and then remove the 4 bolts. I'd say just get it connected and programmed and see from there. You have all the parts for a general install, but I am not sure as this nav may require more Bose parts.reading other posts about it has confused me and I can't tell if you will or won't need it. Which will be required anyways due to THEFTLOCK preventing you from using it until the dealer unlocks it. I think it should work fine with some programming.
